Editorial Policy

Our commitment to accurate, evidence-based physiotherapy information for Malaysian patients.

Content Creation Process

Every piece of content on PhysioNear follows a rigorous multi-step creation process designed to ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility for Malaysian patients.

  1. Research: Our health content specialists conduct thorough research using peer-reviewed medical literature, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based resources. We prioritise systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and randomised controlled trials from reputable databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, and PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database).
  2. Drafting: Content is written in clear, accessible language suitable for Malaysian patients. We avoid unnecessary medical jargon and explain technical terms when they must be used. All content is created in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  3. Expert Review: Every clinical article is reviewed by a qualified physiotherapist registered under the Allied Health Professions Act (Act 774) of Malaysia. Reviewers verify clinical accuracy, treatment recommendations, and safety information.
  4. Editorial Review: Our editorial team checks for clarity, consistency, proper referencing, and alignment with our content guidelines before publication.
  5. Publication & Monitoring: Published content is monitored for accuracy and updated when new evidence emerges or clinical guidelines change.

Medical Review Standards

Our medical review process ensures that all clinical content meets the following standards:

  • Consistency with current clinical guidelines from recognised bodies including the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC), and World Physiotherapy
  • Supported by peer-reviewed research published in indexed medical journals
  • Accurate representation of treatment efficacy, risks, and limitations
  • Appropriate safety warnings and contraindications clearly stated
  • Malaysian healthcare context including SOCSO coverage, insurance considerations, and local referral pathways
